Help for Ukraine!
Hello everyone!
The Santa Claus project for 2023 will continue. Last year we (Eva, Klaus, Mirva and Miika) went to Nikopol to take the Christmas message. The children met our Santa Claus, received Letters to Santa packages wrapped by the group from Ukraine and dreamed a lot about Finland and Lapland. The children’s main wishes for Christmas presents were, for their part, difficult to fulfil. The letters wished for a peaceful sky, the chance to see more of their friends and to go to school.
Children living in Nikopol, an area of constant, active fighting, now need a sense of security, faith and support for their dreams. A holiday from war.
This year 2024, the Nikopol district has decided to support these children’s journey to a safe environment for Christmas. About 80 of them will go to Italy, 50 to Austria and 88 will come to Finland. The children and young people who will go are those who have the capacity, emotional awareness and understanding to make this journey. They contacted us in the autumn and we are once again wholeheartedly involved. The children/young people (and their 12 carers) will arrive in Finland on 17.12. and will leave back to Ukraine on 27.12. You can participate by supporting the Truck Trip by putting gold coins in a collection account for the trip, come for Christmas shopping at the Vallila bazaar on 1.12., buy items to collect from the Letters to Santa Claus from Ukraine group on Facebook, buy a supporting membership or ask more about the possibilities by emailing eva.kivinen@gmail.com
Welcome to join us in making another Christmas miracle.❤️

Consulting and assisting other aid organisations and volunteers has also become familiar.
FinAid members have been working in Ukraine and on the Polish border, initially under the name Bridge 22, continuously since the beginning of the war, providing direct and immediate support in Ukraine, helping not only civilians and soldiers but also animals, for example by organising large food shipments to animal shelters. This has included finding and organising refugee rides for Ukrainians, transporting aid consignments and organising relief operations in eastern and southern Ukraine.
We will do our best to help and guide the Ukrainians and refugees even after their arrival in Finland. If you would like to offer accommodation to a refugee arriving in Finland, please contact us.
There is a wide range of needs in Ukraine and we are working to collect the supplies they want and transport them to Ukraine. On the return journey, there are often refugees seeking refuge; children, women, pets.
Help Ukraine and get involved in our community, if you want to donate supplies or fuel, help transport people or donate a car for our use, please contact us. If you want to help, but don’t know how, please contact us and we’ll work it out together.
All donations will be used in full to help Ukrainians. Currently, the association focuses on providing aid in the midst of the crisis in Ukraine, but in the future FIN AID plans to expand its activities to other places where the little guy needs help.
Here are people with a sense of human values who do everything they can to help people in need. Contact us if you want to get involved in community activities.
You can find contact details on the Contact page.
